The Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) serves active duty, activated reservists and Guardsmen, family members, and retirees of all branches of service. We are your one-stop shop for information, referrals, consultation, counseling and assistance. Call or visit today, or invite the FFSC staff to bring our programs to your command!
The FFSC is located at NAS JRB, in Building 555, on Rinard Road. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Information and Referral
The FFSC has a wealth of information on military and civilian services and resources. If we don't know the answer to your question, we'll research it and get back to you.
Life Skills Education
Life skills workshops will strengthen and enrich your life with knowledge, skills and support. The FFSC offers classes on parenting skills, effective communication skills, stress and anger management, strengthening relationships, military spouse orientation, suicide prevention and more. We can also put together workshops that are tailored to the needs of your command.
Counseling
The FFSC offers a wide variety of counseling services to help with emotional issues (stress, sadness, and frustration) marriage counseling, deployment related counseling, assessments and counseling for children. Caring counselors can meet with you individually, as a couple, or as a family.
Crisis Response
Whether it's a personal crisis (such as separation, divorce, or a death) or a large scale disaster (hurricane, mass casualty), the FFSC can assist. We provide preparedness information, counseling, and recovery assistance.
Relocation Assistance Program (RAP)
With information-filled workshops such as Newcomer's Orientation, Sponsorship Training and Smooth Move, as well as individualized consultation, the FFSC helps to make your moving process as smooth as possible. Call for your Welcome Aboard packet today.
New Parent Support Program
The New Parent Support Specialist offers parenting education, support, and home visits for expectant and new parents (with children three years or younger).
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Support
The FFSC EFMP Liaison provides program information, referrals, and assistance with enrollment for families with special needs.
Family Employment Readiness Program (FERP)
Employment services are provided for family members new to the area or starting over in a new career field, service members transitioning to civilian jobs and teens looking for summer hires. We offer workshops and consultation on job searches, career planning, resume writing, interview techniques and more. Visit our Career Resource Center to enhance your job search. And, through the FFSC Volunteer Program, you can boost your skills.
Personal Financial Management (PFM)
Let the FFSC help you define your financial needs, plan for the future, and get more of what you want through setting short-term and long-term financial goals. Our Financial Specialists not only offer oneon- one consultation and budget counseling but also workshops on budgeting, financial planning, credit management, and car/home buying and training for Command Financial Specialists.
Deployment Support
The FFSC supports deploying service members, their spouses, children, parents, and loved ones through briefs to commands, individuals, and family groups on pre-deployment, mid-deployment, return and reunion, combat operational stress, and PTSD. The FFSC also provides deployment case management, support groups, information, coping tips and one-on-one support.
Transition Assistance Program (TAP)
TAP provides employment assistance, vocational guidance, and transition information to service members and their spouses. With pre-separation and pre-retirement workshops, disability transition workshops, and individualized consultations and referrals, the FFSC assists service members and spouses to make a successful transition to civilian life.
Family Advocacy Program (FAP)
The FAP offers awareness and prevention programs on domestic and child abuse as well as intervention when incidents occur. The Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate provides victim advocacy and support.
Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program
The SAPR Program conducts education and awareness programs, trains victim advocates, and offers victims 24/7 support and assistance.
Ombudsman Support
The FFSC Ombudsman Coordinator coordinates with family support personnel and provides ombudsman training, consultation, and support.
Retired Activities Office (RAO) Support
Trained RAO volunteers (678-2134) provide information, referrals, and assistance to retirees and their family members.
