Navy Gateway Inns and Suites (NGI&S) at Naval Station Mayport is available to all transient travelers, traveling on per diem or traveling as space available. Eligible travelers are; retirees, active duty, reservists, military dependents, U.S. DoD civilians (both APF and NAF), U.S. DoD civilians in a non-duty status and their accompanying family members. Our site has two transient buildings with a total of 200 guest rooms. Davis Hall, Building 425, offers 73 transient suites, 6 family suites, 5 single standard rooms, and 2 Distinguished Visitor suites. Bowman Hall, Building 1585 offers 108 standard rooms, 4 ADA rooms, and 2 transient suites.
Each room offers a refrigerator, microwave, iron & ironing board, alarm clock, Cable TV with HBO premium channel, coffeemaker, hairdryer and beverage amenities. Some kitchenettes are available. NGI&S provides complimentary coffee/tea and the USA Today, available at the front desk lobby 24 hrs, 7 days a week. Our site offers complimentary laundry facilities, vending machines and ice machines in both buildings. Permanent Party Bachelor Housing
All personnel transferring to Naval Station Mayport are required to contact the Housing Welcome Center (HWC) located in Building 289 prior to making any off-base commitments. Upon entering through the Main Gate, turn right onto Moale Avenue. The HWC Center is the first building on the left. All shipboard and permanent party personnel will check-in at Building 2105. Naval Station Mayport has 1178 permanent party/shipboard spaces located at Hayward Hall, Halsey Hall, Buildings 1586, 1587,MCPON Delbert D. Black and Building 2234. Space is available to shipboard Sailors in pay grades E1-E3, E4 less than 4 years of service and E1-E3 rotational and E1-E3 non-rotational personnel.
All E5-E6 non-rotational, E7-E9 personnel and officers are referred to the Housing Welcome Center for housing referral services and rent reduced programs in the local community including privatized housing upon availability. Resident Advisers are only authorized as needed to maintain senior military presence in Bachelor Housing and may have a waiting list. Geographical Bachelors will only be housed if space is available; it is strongly recommended to seek housing in the local community as Bachelor Housing maintains a high occupancy rate.
