Consolidated Library
The Consolidated Library, located on the first floor of Building
7 on JBER-Richardson, offers a wide variety of books, videos,
and electronic media. The Consolidated Library has a computer
lab with CAC enabled PCs, printers, and scanners. Wireless
Internet access is available for all patrons. A variety of special
family and children's programs are offered throughout the year.

Army Education Center
Active duty, AGR, and Reserve-component Soldiers and
retirees, their family members, and civilian employees are
welcome to use the services of the Education Center in
Building 7 (384-0970). Programs and services include
professional counseling, remedial and college classes, Army
Personnel Testing, Learning Resource Center (Room 215),
tuition assistance, financial aid information, Veteran's Administration
benefits, distance learning opportunities, and classroom
reservations (384-0964). The MOS Library (Room 215)
offers TM, FM, STP, TC and audio visual training aids. The Digital
Training Facility (384-0565) offers innovative, web-based
training opportunities.
Counselors assist with applications for college credit for
experiential learning from military or civilian training and how
to combine training and college credits for military promotion
points. Building 7 provides an on-post college campus with four
colleges offering courses during the lunch hour, evenings, and
on weekends as well at the units. These include the University of
Alaska Anchorage, Central Texas College, Wayland Baptist University,
and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Each belongs
to the Service Members Opportunity Colleges (SOC) association
offering maximum transfer credit and reasonable residency requirements
to facilitate a degree for the mobile military.
GoArmyEd is the virtual gateway Soldiers must use to request
Tuition Assistance (TA) and enroll in college classes whether
traditional or on-line. The GoArmyEd portal gives Soldiers access
to many accredited colleges and universities and more than
1,000 available degree plans.
Air Force Education Center
The JBER-Elmendorf Education and Training Services
(ETS) Office, located at 4109 Bullard Ave., assists Airmen
and family members meet personal and professional development
goals through a variety of educational, training, and testing
programs.
To facilitate academic achievement, the base hosts four
on-base colleges that offer a wide variety of undergraduate
and graduate programs: Central Texas College, Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University, University of Alaska Anchorage, and
Wayland Baptist University. In addition, the Education Office
provides career, commissioning, and Community College of the
Air Force counseling.
Active-duty Airmen must apply for tuition assistance (TA)
through the Air Force Virtual Education Center. Spouses may be
eligible for TA through the Air Force Aid Society Spouse Tuition
Assistance Program (STAP) or MyCAA. Information on supplemental
funding, such as the GI Bill, is also available.
The ETS serves as the hub for all military testing, to include
CDC, PME, DLAB/DLPT, WAPS, AFOQT, AFCT, and JST exams.
The CLEP/DANTES testing program is administered by Wayland
Baptist University through their National Test Center.
