The 633 Medical Group provides medical treatment on the joint base, maintaining a full-service, 40-bed hospital for inpatient, outpatient and urgent care, as well as a health clinic, two satellite clinics at the Bethel Manor base housing area and Mary Immaculate Hospital, Newport News, Va.

On-base medical services include: Audiology, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Flight Medicine, Gynecology, Health and Wellness, Internal Medicine, Mental Health, Obstetrics (inpatient as well as outpatient), Ophthalmology, Optometry, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Radiology (with CT) and Urology.

TRICARE
This health care program covers active duty and retirees of the military services, their families and survivors. Basically, the administrator brings together the health care resources of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard and supplements them with networks of civilian health care professionals for quality services. URGENT CARE CENTERS
In an urgent situation, contact your PCM office for a same-day appointment or advice on how to handle the immediate situation. You may also contact the regional contractor's toll free number for instructions on how and where to access urgent care. Try to use a network UCC versus an Emergency Room. If a Network UCC is closed or out of a reasonable driving area, then proceed to a non-network UCC. But call your provider within 24-hours for a retro-referral.
